The
biggest animal found on inland Antarctica is the housefly.
The Antarctic notothenia fish has a protein in its blood that acts like
antifreeze and stops the fish freezing in icy sea.
Penguins are so well insulated by fat that they overheat when they are
active.
They have to stand with their beaks open to cool down.
The
Adelie penguin can leap four times its own height to get from sea to land.
